Rain in Dubai

Rain is often a welcome news in this part of the world. With perceived  climate change, however, and the obvious increase in amount of rainfall this year, the public is being warned to enjoy the weather with caution (like staying away from wadis, driving at the proper speeds and not taking long trips unnecessarily).

I managed to take some snapshots of the neighborhood, which I think are as ordinary as they are beautiful.

There is reported damage from heavy rain in Saudi Arabia, but fortunately it is not as bad in Dubai and the UAE as a whole. I actually awoke from the screams of excited neighbors bathing in the rain at 4 am. No reason to get upset, though. I myself would have done that, but listening to the drops hitting the windows and lulling me back to sleep seemed like a better idea.
